1. Well, Taylor and I booked flights to Dallas the last weekend of March. I will do anything, buy anything or say anything that brings warm thoughts. That includes my Valentine’s Day gift to myself: a mini shopping spree at Anthropologie. Look, I promise I know how to manage my money most of the time. 😉
2. You know those weeks where you swear you gained at least ten pounds because you had no self-control with the pumpkin bread? Yeah. Which brings me to my I Quit Sugar program. Well, I did wonderful for two weeks, incorporated fruits the third week and then sometime in the last two weeks I had a mini snickers and the rest went to crap. Here’s the thing, I totally notice my energy levels drop if I eat too much sugar. IT’S JUST SO GOOD. I’m going to try again after I’m back from LA.
3. I feel weird saying this. I’m a promoter of all things, but don’t do a great job of promoting myself. Is it even right to do that? Well I had the opportunity to be featured in Juice Magazine… “Get to Know Emily.” So, be on the lookout for that little piece coming to Des Moines in the next couple weeks!
4. So my friend is planning a (totally rad) trip from Grand Tetons to Glacier National Park for early August via bicycle. To skip RAGBRAI and not use any summer PTO or go on this amazing trip through the mountains for a full week and burn all vacation? I have a lot to consider here people. Oh, and yes, you should join if you can (Ride:Well peeps? Lake Michigan crew? Yes.)
