After an immersive experience in Nashville, I realized how rarely I write about some of the work I get to do with entrepreneurs at Think Digital.
It is certainly an exciting time to be a business owner with all of the tools + systems available online. Shall we nerd out together?
I’m going to break down five areas I get to help create, build, implement, and scale. They all tie into each other beautifully.
1. Lead Magnets
Do you ever scroll through your Facebook newsfeed and see something like “Free Guide: 3 Changes You Can Make TODAY to Lose 10 Pounds in 10 Days?” All you have to do to get the guide is give your name + email.
Using a lead magnet is a way for business owners to capture one of the greatest assets: your email address. The guide offers valuable information to your ideal market and then you get to follow it up with…
2. Nurture Emails
Once you get that pretty little guide in your inbox (which we write + design for clients), you get to warm up your lead. By sharing your story & how you address the pain points of your ideal client, the goal is to convert them into a paying customer.
The guide you downloaded about losing weight will ultimately walk you through how you can work with a person/company to further your goals. A health coach might use the lead magnet + email strategy to ultimately encourage someone to book a call about a coaching package.
3. Paid Traffic: Generate Leads + Customers
Like I mentioned, you are likely seeing the “Free Guides” or “Free Webinars” in your newsfeed, which businesses are paying for. They are paying for a very specific group of people to look at that ad. Did you know Facebook knows about 1500 different pieces of information about you? 😉
Our team knows our clients’ ideal customer very well so we target them. Only want to work with people that have $100k salaries? Perfect. Do they also love Tony Robbins? Cool. Are they in a certain location or a specific age? No one else will see those ads then. Running Facebook Ads is one of the best ways to generate leads for your business, but it is not a magic pill. If you don’t nurture leads effectively or can’t close a sale, it can be very frustrating. We look at it as a long-term investment and one of many elements of marketing you can do within your business.
4. Social Media
While we no longer craft copy for social media posts, we encourage all of our clients to be posting organically on the regs. Consistency is key, baby. Tell stories that address frustration, pain points, dreams, and desires. Layer on credibility by showing up as many places as possible online.
Yes, the algorithm has changed. So what? Get creative and stay interesting on your personal page and direct people to your Business Page for more value.
5. Email Marketing
If you’ve had a conversation with me in the last year, we’ve probably talked about email marketing. Use the email list you’ve built with paid traffic + your sales funnel to offer specials, education, transformation, and information your ideal client wants!
People don’t need to (or want to) be sold to. Tell stories, walk people through an experience a client of yours had. You don’t need to design your email with a pretty header, write a plain-text email. Have a call to action and purpose in what you put in your emails.
In essence, this is what this system looks like:
Put ad in newsfeed to ideal client, send lead to a landing page (we build), acquire email address, send a nurture email with a strong call to action, acquire customers. REPEAT. Do email marketing to your new list consistently.
This system is simple. That does not mean it’s easy.
It takes us nearly 60 days to build this entire funnel from scratch and we use the highest-converting templates, a very specific layout for emails, copywriting for ads that stops most people who are scrolling. We push our clients and partner with them to help them win! Because most good businesses can be great. We get to help dozens of them every single day.
If this energizes you, I would love to explore this opportunity with you. Just shoot me a message right here and we’ll see if it’s a good fit.
